Water Heater Gravity Flush?

- Gas: Turn shutoff valve OFF
- Electric: Unplug power cord.

To keep your water heater working efficiently and extend the life span of the tank from the initial 8-10 years to 15- or even 20-years, we recommend an annual preventive maintenance.
Common Water Heater failures are caused by:
- High water pressure
- Built-up calcium and sediment
- Excessive corrosion debris
- Faulty or Dying heating elements
High Water Pressure (80+ PSI)
Without proper water pressure regulation at the water meter, an increase in water pressure from the city can wreak havoc on a plumbing system, especially the water heater as it’s the first appliance incoming water filters through (aside from the main water lines!).
Water heaters up-to-code have an expansion tank absorbing any increase in pressure, yet tanks that aren’t up-to-code, are at risk of water leaks from pressure escaping through the drain or T&P valves, and possibly even burst!
Water Hardness
No. 5 on the national list of top hard water areas: San Antonio! Hence, calcium deposits on faucets, sinks, shower heads, dishwasher, etc. Clear indicator water lines are likely lined with calcium and sediment deposits, corroding and brittle yielding broken water lines and emergency plumbing.
Homes equipped with a water softener produce plumbing-friendly water, yet if calcium is evident on plumbing fixtures, have your local plumber inspect
for repairs or replacement.
No water softener? Prevent damage to plumbing appliances as well as corrosion to the plumbing system upon installation
of a water treatment solution. It’s the home investment you’ll enjoy most for years to come.
Power Flush
Clear the sediment and debris from the tank with pressure. A Power Flush goes beyond a “gravity flush” to clear sediment in the water heater; less buildup means less corrosion, a longer life span and continuous hot water for years to come.
Prefer not to wrench around?
Our professionals will inspect your water heater and then Power Flush the tank, emptying out present corrosion, built-up sediment and debris affecting the heating efficiency, and extending the life of your water heater each year of maintenance!
